California Girl

Hey Guys!

In my history class we are currently studying the early American settlers that traveled across America towards The West. We are looking at all the reasons they chose to come here and what inspired them to. Now, we are each going to dig deeper into this topic and think about if we, as individuals identify as "A Child of The West" or not.

I personally do identify as a "Child of The West." Though I partially come from French heritage, I was born in The West and have always lived here; most of my friends live here too. Another reason that I "identify" with where I live is because I use and enjoy many of the resources that The West has to offer, here in California. For example, I love going to the beach, (even though it can be freezing, its still pretty to look around, and take pictures) another one of my favorite things to do is to go shopping downtown, this is always really fun too because of the sunny weather we always have here.

I'm curious to find out in the comments if you guys "identify" with where you live as well. Or, if you think of yourself completely differently.

See you in the next blog post!

This is me.

The front of my mask is full of glitz and glam. I am a super girly person and love to express myself with lots of colors to represent different aspects of my personality. On the front there are a couple pops of different colors here and there, this is my weirdness just barely peaking through me. I also love to explore different things that I've never tried before. I'm open to trying out new ideas all the time, and this is represented by the fun sunglasses to represent adventure.

The inside of my mask is fuller than the front. My complete personality is likely not to show through unless you really know me. There are a ton of circles in all different shapes and sizes representing just how weird I can be. Most people on the outside only can see of glimpse of it, but if your around me for a while you'll start to realize just how crazy I can be. I am also full of O.C.D. The measuring tape is what represents that. Though sometimes I can be weird and spunky, I'm full of uncertainty, often doubting myself. Even though I usually can't help it I try not to as much as I can. I'm full of care for other people. I feel complete when the people that surround me are filled with joy and smiles on their faces. I not only care a lot about people, but animals and nature as well. These three things are represented through stickers of hearts, paws, butterflies, and flowers. I'm also not as girly as I am on the outside though there is still quite a lot of it. I can also tend to get stressed out about certain things. However, I try to recognize this when it happens and just take a step back to relax. This relaxed state of mind that I'm sure I, as well as most people would want to have all the time is embodied through a silhouette of someone doing yoga. All of these different things make up me.

My Legacy

Hey Guys!

Right now in History class we are focusing on personal identity and what that really means. What legacy do I want to leave behind me in 75 years? What things do I want future generations of my family to remember me by?

Well, I would say that the biggest idea I would want trailing behind me would be what the purpose of life was, not only for me but, everyone else too. Right now, I believe that the main reason everyone is living on this Earth is to have a fun time, and never stop learning. We might not notice it, but every experience that we have, every place we go, and every second we spend on this Earth we constantly are learning. I would want my grandchildren and future generations to cherish every moment they are here. They should always remember that everyone goes through hard times but once you find your true purpose for living, you can overcome anything.

Leave a comment below of what you want YOUR legacy to be, and what ideas you would want your grandchildren to always remember.

See you in the next blog post!
